Tests may include bronchospasm provocation, pulmonary function testing, pulmonary stress testing, diffusing capacity, sleep studies, spirometry, or muscle testing. X-rays and scans may be ordered, and if needed patients will be referred to other specialists. Treatments may include medication, home use of medical devices, breathing exercises, and diet evaluation and modification.
